Upton Video PSA: Prescription Drug Takeback Day is Saturday

U.S. Rep. Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, today released the following video public service announcement, first published on his Facebook page, encouraging residents of Michigan’s Sixth Congressional District to participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, to be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). The service provides an opportunity for citizens to safely and securely dispose of their expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs at authorized disposal sites in their community. Last October, the DEA held its 14th National Prescription Take Back Day, resulting in 912,305 lbs. of pills collected across 5,421, collection sites nationwide.
