After 68 years of being lost in the mail a local World War II veteran is receiving his medal. Congressman Fred Upton presented Coloma native Anthony Sineni with the Bronze Star Medal Monday morning at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph.

As Private First Class in the 399th Infantry Regiment, Sineni's achievement came after treating several wounded comrades while continuing to fight as a rifleman.

91-year old Sineni didn't have much to say other than "thank you" and "I didn't expect this."
