    By Louise Wrege EpiPens save lives, and U.S. Rep. Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, wants to make it easier for schools to have them on hand in case of emergencies. On Wednesday, as the House Speaker pro tempore, Upton signed the "School Access to Emergency Epinephrine Act," which allows schools to have EpiPens on hand. Epinephrine can be used to stop the deadly swelling of the throat and tongue when someone has an anaphylactic reaction, which can be caused by allergies to items such as peanuts. He said...
